INDIANA UNIVERSITY-PURDUE UNIVERSITY INDIANAPOLIS FACULTY POSITIONS IN CHEMISTRY & CHEMICAL BIOLOGY

The Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at IUPUI (http://chem.iupui.edu/) invites applications for two-to-three tenure-track faculty positions with rank open, to begin August 1, 2009. The areas of specialization are open, but the areas of analytical/inorganic/physical Chemistry are preferred. We especially seek applicants whose research interests can support and expand the department's efforts to complement campus-wide interdisciplinary research programs (http://www.iupui.edu/~solctr/research/) in the life and health sciences, including ongoing collaborative efforts with the IU School of Medicine on campus. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline, demonstrate the ability to initiate and sustain an externally funded program of research, and be able to teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor level must have a demonstrated record of research excellence, a history of external funding, and a strong record of mentoring students. Tenure may be offered to a successful senior candidate, depending on the candidate's qualifications and accomplishments. Applicants should submit a CV, statements of research plans and teaching philosophy, and names and contact information for three references to:
